Those who knew Cameron Bolling growing up never doubted that they would become an author. At seven years old, they turned a one-page class writing project into a four-page short story, and at twelve they wrote 108 pages over the course of their summer vacation. From those early years onward, they have been determined to scribble out the maximum number of words possible to write in a lifetime—and then some.
Fantasy has long been a passion of Cameron’s. Their earliest inspiration came from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan, their gateway to the genre. From there, Cameron found a deep love of fantasy, enjoying the works of JRR Tolkien, Ursula K Le Guin, and Terry Pratchett, among countless others.
After a near-collision with culinary school that would have sent them down an entirely different path, Cameron ended up at a small liberal arts college in the woods of New Hampshire studying creative writing. By the time they graduated in May 2020, they had already published two novels, and rounded out the trilogy with a third soon after. With a finished fantasy trilogy under their belt, Cameron’s sights are set on a number of ambitious new projects, including their ongoing web series Atnaterra.
Currently, Cameron lives in Washington state (still in the woods, as always) with their partner and their cat Paisley.
